
Last week, Dr. Girish Ganjyal was invited to Bogotá, Colombia, to serve as a keynote speaker at Expo IAlimentos 2025, one of Latin America’s biggest food industry events. The conference brought together professionals from across the region to discuss innovations and trends shaping the future of food.
Dr. Ganjyal’s presentation, titled “Extrusion Processing for the Development of High Protein Snacks,” drew a wide audience of industry professionals and academic researchers from across Latin America. The talk focused on innovative approaches in food extrusion technology to meet the growing demand for high-protein, nutritious snack products.
In addition to sharing his expertise, Dr. Ganjyal engaged in discussions with representatives from various institutions and agencies, exploring opportunities for international collaboration. Dr. Ganjyal’s visit to Expo IAlimentos 2025 helped build new connections as well as showcased the impactful work being done at the School of Food Science on a global stage.
