
In a landmark celebration of agricultural innovation and collaboration, the US Pulses Innovation Day returned to India with events in both Delhi and Mumbai. With the USA Pulses team, Dr. Girish Ganjyal participated in the panels to share his insight on pulses and pulse ingredients.
Dr. Ewa Pietrysiak, Director of Innovation and Marketing, an alumna of the School of Food Science and the Food Processing Research and Extension Program, led the USA Pulses Team during this visit.
Now in its fourth year, the Delhi edition of Innovation Day has become a hallmark event for the pulse and grain community. This year’s gathering was the largest yet. Following the success in Delhi, the momentum carried into Mumbai, where another full house of engaged professionals came together to explore the future of pulses and their role in global nutrition.
Dr. Ganjyal and Dr. Pietrysiak helped guide discussions as both a moderator and a speaker on “Redefining Possibilities with Pulses and Pulse Ingredients,” highlighting the potential of US grown pulses in global markets. Through efforts like Innovation Day, Dr. Ganjyal and the USA Pulses team are actively connecting growers, manufacturers, and consumers to create a more sustainable and nutritious future centered around pulses.
