April 24 & 25, 2023
Washington State University’s School of Food Science, along with Cascadia IFT, are hosting the second ever Industry Expo. It will serve as a valuable networking experience for food science students as well as high school students interested in the industry.
Industry Participation Fee:
- The donation of $300 toward the Food Science & Human Nutrition Development Fund will allow for a tabletop exhibit.
- The donation of $500 toward the Fund will allow for a tabletop and a company presentation on the first day.
- The donation of $700 toward the Fund will allow for a tabletop, a company presentation, and a table at the speed networking event.
Company Showcase Presentations
Companies have five minutes to give an overview of their company and have five minutes for Q&A
Lightning Talks by Industry Professionals of Their Own Career Journey
Quick (~three minute) sessions where industry representatives give a quick synopsis of how they landed in a food science career and share their own journey as a food science professional.
Speed Networking
Five-minute sessions when industry and SFS students chat one-on-one about their companies and career opportunities. The students will prepare resumes to share with the company representatives, so this session can be an opportunity for the companies to identify future employees of the company. Vice versa, the students can learn more about the companies and different position opportunities within each company.
