Reporting to Carolyn Ross, Regents Professor in the School of Food Science. Key duties include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Laboratory operations and oversight &#8211; <\/strong>Oversee day-to-day lab activities; Assist with food tasting panels; Maintain lab schedules and coordinate shared equipment use.<\/li><li><strong>Budget and administrative tasks &#8211; <\/strong>Track lab spending and assist in managing budgets related to lab operations; Assist with purchasing and invoices.<\/li><li><strong>Personnel management &#8211; <\/strong>Schedule personnel.<\/li><li><strong>Inventory control &#8211;<\/strong> Order and maintain inventory.<\/li><li><strong>Research support &#8211;<\/strong> Assist researchers with experimental organization and protocols; Manage sample storage.<\/li><li><strong>Documentation and recordkeeping &#8211; <\/strong>Maintain lab records.<\/li><li><strong>Communication and Coordination &#8211; <\/strong>Coordinate lab meetings and trainings.<\/li><li><strong>Safety and Compliance &#8211;<\/strong> Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal safety regulations; Manage waste disposal.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Required Experience:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree (or Associate&#8217;s degree) in Food Science, Agricultural Science, Psychology, Management, or a related field.<\/li><li>Candidates with relevant industry or role-specific experience will be given preference.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Work Schedule:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>10-15 hours a week.<\/li><li>In-Person hours at the WSU Sensory Science Center.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Pay Range: $22-25\/hour<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4>To Apply<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/app.joinhandshake.com\/jobs\/10878985\">Apply on Handshake<\/a> or email Dr. Carolyn Ross (<strong>cfross@wsu.edu<\/strong>) with your resume and cover letter.
