Faculty member volunteers are needed for their time to give one lecture at the prison at some point over the next year. The lectures happen the second Tuesday of every month, from 1pm-2:30, but with driving time, security clearance, and set-up, it  works out to be a full-day commitment (11am – 4:30pm).  The topic of the lecture is wide open.  In regards to lecture style, the prison suggests the following: “Local, live “TedTalks” – relevant, interesting, and regional – demonstrate subject-specific discourse (entry-level) and indicate trends in academic research and offer some discussion time with question/answers.” If you are interested, contact Omi Hodwitz at omi@uidaho.edu or call at 208-885-2976.
