WSU hosts an annual “Diamond Grads” reunion for alumni who graduated 60 years ago. This year, we were fortunate to host Dr. Melvin Eklund– Food Science graduate from 1955. He brought his daughter Lynda and her husband Arne with him to the lunch hosted by the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences as a part of the reunion events on October 29-31, 2015.

School of Food Science Director Barbara Rasco and Dr. Eklund enjoyed catching up over the lunch. They had met each other in the past because their careers intersected via their mutual work in seafood safety. Dr. Eklund also had the opportunity to connect with a few of our current food science undergraduate students.
