Nice work, team! The 93rd  annual Dairy Product Evaluation Contest  was held in Hoffman Estates, IL at the Northern Illinois University Conference Center. The event this year is hosted by Tate and Lyle Ingredients. Five students, ranging in academic experience from juniors to grad students, competed on Saturday, November 8. They evaluated Cottage cheese, Cheddar cheese, vanilla ice cream, 2% milk, salted sweet cream butter and Swiss style strawberry yogurt for different sensory qualities alongside teams from other universities across the nation. Our SFS student participants were Allison Baker, Bryce Vanderyacht, Patricia Flores, Lindsay Milligan and Katie Smoot. The team is advised by Mike Costello and assistant advisor Helen Joyner.
