SFS Represented Well at CALS Awards Banquet

Award nominees and supporters from the School of Food Science (SFS) gathered to celebrate colleagues’ accomplishments at the University of Idaho (UI) College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Awards Banquet at the UI SUB Ballroom on Monday evening, April 28th.

Award recipient Ron Luedeman with Dean Foltz

Ron Luedeman was presented a Distinguished Associate Alumni award. Mr. Luedeman continues to make significant contributions to the University of Idaho, CALS and the SFS. He has served multiple terms on the school’s advisory board and was an important advocate and adviser during the formation of the WSU-UI School of Food Science.  Ron was an enthusiastic board member, providing timely and relevant advice to improve our teaching, research and extension programming in food science. We heartily congratulate Ron on this deserved award!

Our faculty, staff and students were nominated for various awards. The School of Food Science won in two categories:

  • Outstanding Technical/Lab Support Staff—Haiqing Sheng
  • UI SFS Outstanding Senior—Amanda Wilder
